How current is your location data?
Our data is updated hourly and delivered daily to ensure updated, real-time results.
How long is your data stored & considered relevant?
Users can capture dates as far back as 6 months. You can add customized date ranges (ie last 7 days, last 30 days, etc) to satisfy the nature of your request.
What is the scale of your location data?
As of March 2019, we are averaging 40M Daily Average Users (DAUs) and 135M Monthly Average Users (MAUs)
What is the source of your location data?
Our real-time location data is sourced directly from mobile app SDKs, mobile app partners, IoT sensors and our proprietary cloud platform.
How is your data formatted?
Our data is available in multiple formats to fit your needs. You may choose from our pre-built audiences or choose your own filters in our Discover platform to create your own segments based on POIs (visited place types or place names) demographics, Geography (Region, zip, city, state, area code).
Do you offer raw data?
Yes, we offer raw data. Please contact us and we will work with you on an individual basis to accommodate your request.
Quality and Accuracy
How do you ensure data quality?
We use proprietary algorithms based on precise location resolution, demographics, time, engagement metrics, app usage, and various behavioral signals to ensure accurate, quality audiences.
What makes your data unique? (About the LOCALLY Data Quality Index)
We collect a variety of data fields and anonymous location information. From there, we use proprietary data science and algorithms to verify, cleanse and resolve human movement into valuable patterns and insights. Movement & Speed: One user’s device could be idle and repeatedly send the same location information while another user’s device moves periodically. We check each sample of data to determine 1) if the user has moved, 2) what distance has the user moved and 3) at what speed the user is moving. (If we see a slow and uneven rate of movement, this could detect inaccurate inferences). GPS & Coordinates: Accuracy of location coordinates that we are receiving plays a large role in our data quality. Location/GPS coordinates can be affected by weather, signal strength, indoor or outdoor locations. We take all o factors into account and rank the data based on importance and relevance. Applying the LOCALLY’s Data Quality Index: Our data quality algorithms check duplicate entities for all data types and can further be compared against social media data to confirm data quality (such as fake profile detection) to ensure the most quality and accurate data.
Is your data anonymous and privacy-compliant?
Yes, our data is anonymous and privacy-compliant. We do not collect any personally identifiable information, only anonymous data tied to resettable device advertising identifiers. If a mobile application user declines location sharing, none of the LOCALLY services will be available to that user nor will any data be collected from that device.
What systems are in place to account for fraudulent or misleading data?
Our proprietary algorithms look for representative patterns in the data that could indicate fraud. This data is investigated further and removed if deemed fraudulent.

Where can I find your data?
Our LOCALLY Discover Platform is your gateway to audience creation. Create audiences based on your selected attributes. These are priced on a CPM basis and can be directly exported through Facebook and Google advertising. We also have pre-build audience segments available on a variety of marketing platforms (LiveRamp, PushSpring, The Trade Desk, Adobe) which can be activated through any preferred DSP/DMP.
How is your data priced?
Our Data-as-a-Service option continuously delivers data to clients on a subscription basis or you may purchase segments via CPM pricing model.

What are beacons and how are they used?
Beacons are small physical wireless transmitters that use low-energy Bluetooth technology to send signals to nearby smart devices. What are geofences and how are they used?
A geofence is a virtual delimiter around an area on a map that represents an actual geographic area in the world, creating then, a virtual “fence” around a specific part of the planet.
